Hello Bachelor Nation! Sorry for the prolonged absence. I watched all of Joey’s season, but for some reason, making content just wasn’t in the cards for me. Maybe one day I will share my thoughts on the season, but for now, I am thrilled to be back in the content game for Jenn’s season! Here are my thoughts on last night’s historic premiere!
Jenn’s Introduction
Her intro package was full of her best moments from Joey’s season as well as a sweet introduction to her family. Viewers could feel her mother’s love through the screen. I love that we got a glimpse of not only her family life, but also of her culture. One of the most touching moments was seeing her interact with fans who told her how much her being the bachelorette meant to them. I can’t wait to see more of her family, including her precious mother, throughout the season.
First Impressions of the Contestants
The men by themselves were fine, but something about them collectively was off for me. I loved Thomas, the Olympic swimmer hopeful, and Brett, who got sent home on the first night despite doing an amazing split! I did not love the bravado of Brian and Jeremy with the car ordeal. They cannot think that is how you attract and keep women. I really enjoyed meeting Aaron, brother of Young Noah Erb. I can see him going far this season. Other notable standouts were the mullet streaker and Marcus, the army veteran who is from North Carolina, which automatically makes him rise in the rankings for me. And last but not least, Jonathon, with the bandaged face and the buttcheeks ended up being one of the hottest men of the season! Who knew?
First Impression Rose
I can see the chemistry between Sam M. and Jenn, so it was a no-brainer that he got the first impression rose, although for a moment, I thought the rose would have gone to either Marcus or Thomas. I like that Jenn only kissed one of the men, even though the editing made it seem like they were smooching while the other men were waiting for the rose ceremony to begin. Sam M. got a lot of the screen time as a narrator too, so he will definitely be a major player this season.
Standout Moments From the Preview
Based on the preview, I can tell this is going to be a good season! I have been watching old seasons on Freevee in my downtime, and this season gives all of the same feelings. I am most interested in the guy from her past coming back to the season. Although she seems blindsided, I am hoping that choice to bring him on board was truly hers. I loved seeing all of the guest appearances from Charity, Molly and Jason Mesnick, Daisy, and Kelsey. I also am very curious about her unprecedented ending. They hook us every season, and this one is no different. I do think she ends up with someone, so my best guess is that the proposal is different somehow. I am unspoiled for this season, and I am hoping to stay that way. Overall the preview gave us tears, drama, heart, and love. What more could we ask for? Here’s to another great season of The Bachelorette! I hope you will join me for the journey!
Also, I have more content coming about both Love Island seasons as well as Perfect Match! Stay tuned!
Okay, I definitely agree that while the men were hot, there was something off about the whole group. I'm not sure if it was the editing or what. The majority seem really self-satisfied and smug, though I'm not sure if it's the editing or if they're actually like that. Even though I know that Jenn likely will not pick Hakeem, I like his energy and he seems like he'll be a funny narrator for the season. Agree about Jonathan being super hot after those bandages came off!
Great write Ashley! Excellent overview! You sure got me excited about watching! Glad that you are back!
